what is mind theatre: a stage for the subconscious?

yoga nidra meditation

Through the meditation practice of yoga nidra, Mind Theatre takes an approach to understanding the self through the lens of the subconscious mind.

It is the intersection between ancient philosophy, science and the avant-garde artistic movement of Surrealism —

A movement that embraces the absurd, radically creative, intuitive terrain of the subconscious mind.

Hello, my name is Rachael Hevrin and I began my journey with yoga and meditation when the first yoga studio opened up in my Texas hometown in 2009. What I’ve learned since then has been my lifeline through struggles with anxiety, compulsive overthinking, people pleasing patterns, attachment wounds and complex trauma.

As a trauma-informed teacher with over 900 hours of training, I am passionate about empowering people to take agency in their own healing through the modalities of meditation, yoga nidra, breath, movement, trauma-informed nervous system regulation; and making that journey as accessible as possible.

My teachers include Tracie Brace Hatton from Yoga Rasa School of Yoga, Christina Gagnier from Alchemy of Embodied Wisdom, Shannon McPhee from Supernova Yoga, Denise Davis-Gains from Atlas Studios, and Ian LeMasters and James French from Path of Yoga School of Yoga.

In addition, to teaching yoga and meditation, I am also an actor and writer with a BA in both Drama and Creative Writing; and currently live and teach in Melbourne, Australia.
